Just bought a 99 gray land cruiser with a spot of paint peeling on the door and above the door. I want to tape, sand, and paint that one area even because I have other needs for my money to be spent...tires and suspension.

Anybody found any spray cans that come close?

I can call a couple body shops. I wouldn't mind paying to have it done, but I don't want to spend $1,000 for it to look brand new on that door.

Thanks for the idea.

Any other suggestions out there?

^^that is pretty cool, I think I will be ordering some aerosol paint to touch up where my goofball flares were.

I will definitely get a quote for it. But I am willing to risk $75 in supplies and a few nights of my time if They want to paint the whole door and a large section on top. Because above the door there is a spot of paint damage.
Thanks for the link to the paints. I would order from them if my local can't match it.

Ok, so I didn't get a quote, because I wanted to try painting it myself. So...yesterday I covered the cruiser and taped it up, and painted the messed up section only. It was about a 1" strip. I will post pictures tonight when I have time totals some. I made one major mistake towards the end, got the clear coat can and a can of adhesion promotor mixed up. Put a nice coat of adhesion promotor on and I didn't want it at that stage. We will see if it screwed it all up.
