This evening I loaded a couple kayaks on the roof of my 99 and went for a shake down run before my wife and I head out tomorrow. Started the Cruiser and noticed the CEL was illuminated. While driving I scanned the code with Torque and it reported P0100 - Mass Air Flow. Checked the real-time data and the MAF was reporting a steady 1761cfm of air volume.
Once back in the driveway, I pop the hood to diagnose (I was hoping it was unplugged) but was greeted with a pack rat nest on top of the intake manifold (engine cover is removed). It used most of the firewall insulation from the passenger side to build the nest. I have also found my ham radio power wire chewed through.
I am obviously looking for a chewed wire or two for the MAF sensor, but I am not sure where those wires go once in the loom. Can anybody help guide me in the right direction? Thanks!
