Need some Engine assistance w/ P1300 code on my 96 FZJ80 106K miles

History (since the last time I started her I have):
- Cut the exhaust just before it gets to the muffler, had to remove the O2 sensor and re-install it
- Removed the ABS unit
- Disconnected the charcoal canister line that stems from the DS firewall and reconnected it.
- Relocated the battery to the back seat: spliced the factory lines into 1/0 gauge marine grade bat. and ground cables. I spliced with allen bolt nickel two way terminals by stinger
- removed the brake lines and flushed the brake system (this has no bearing on the engine.

The engine first cranks then when I plugged in the OBDII and cleared the P1300 the first time she started for a few seconds with a lot of smoke and huffing unhealthy idling was it was on for a few seconds. gassed it a little to try and keep it going but would eventually die.

Last time I started it she ran beautifully. I'll try and get some pics, let me know if there is anymore info I can give to help find a solution please let me know.

How do I get her back up and running smoothly?

Thank you

G-D bless...I am looking for someone who might have similar experience.

Question: I fed all the factory power cables into a splice that goes into the cab of the truck in order to relocate the batteries inside. Could the poor connection of one of those leads be the problem?

No dice so far. COULD THIS BE AN ISSUE? look at the pics and how my power cable are all into a single splice for the relocation. Feedback? Thanks in advance

You might try bolting your igniter back on to the body and make sure it has a proper ground.

If that does not work: Yes, those connections could be a problem if you are not getting the proper voltage to your igniter.
Honestly your best bet is to get a multi-meter and follow the FSM in CreeperSleepers first link.
