take the line off on the other side, then wire or small drill bit, with some intake cleaner. It will clog again until you clean your intake from all the carbon soot.
 
There is no connection from the intake manifold to the egr vacuum system, the nipple you see on the intake manifold is a pass through to the vsv,

Yes, that pass-through is what seems to be clogged. With the engine and key off, if I leave the vacuum line attached to the nipple on the intake and remover the other end from the EGR and then suck or blow through the line I get nothing. Does that indicate the line/port is blocked, or does it stay closed until the VSV reaches a certain temp?
