P0121 code APPS/TPS? (1 Viewer)

My LC lost its accelator pedal control while I was driving and got the CEL and other lights on the dash ran the scanner an got a p0121 code.

Should I try to replace the TPS first? Or should I replace the APPS? it looks like the code is specific to the TPS from reading on here but just wanted to get some thoughts. It's a 2000 LC with 82,000 miles and I have never had a problems with it before.

I had the P1222 code on my Toy HDJ100.
It was just a broken wire here (see picture).
Toyota dealer made me change many things before I found the solution on the forum.
