if you plane on going post up and as we get closer to the time we can plan a place to meet. last year was my 1st time and it was a very good time.
lets try and get a nice group out this time. i would like to go ahead and try and make the drive to the end of the road the same day insteed of doing it in two days. but we can talk about it more.

ok so if you are planing on going to the PINS run with us.
we are going to meet in lockhart,tx
there is a BBQ restaurant right on 183 on the other side of town (not the one as you come into town but on the other end). you will pass the DQ on your right hand side at the light. at the next light there is the BBQ spot. look for my white 80 or Hunter's gray 4runner. if you get to the wal-mart you have gone passed us.
we plan on leaving the BBQ spot around 11am so try and get there early if you want to eat.
if you call the shop i will give you my cell number. but not to be given out. it's my personal number not the business number.
i hope we came get a nice group going this year.

ps. we will need to stop in rock port to pick up a few other rigs that plan on heading down with us.
 
not sure if any one has herd but PINS is closed this week for a oil clean up. i called and talked to the guy at the office and he told me they should be reopened by Monday of next week. but to check back Monday or Tuesday just to make sure there open.

as of now i'm still planing on going down. i will keep ya'll posted.
 
yes Hunter told me it opened back you today. so YES were still heading down. i checked temps for that weekend and the high will be 71* and low's 68*. should be a really good weekend. Mike i will be heading from my house taking the toll Rd. around 9:30am if you want to tag along with me and hunter. i got your number so i can call you when i get ready to head out. i can give you an hour heads up.

ok so we are meeting at the Chisholm trail BBQ on 183. remember we are pulling out from there at 11am so get there before then.

like i wrote i'm meeting up with some folks in rock port then we will be taking the ferry across into port A. and heading to pins. i was told by some one that is a long way to go. i like that drive so i'm taking it. if any one wants to go into corpus and go that way that's fine. we can meet back up on the beach. other wise will cruiser down along the coast line like last year.


i live in round rock and will be heading down the toll rd from my house around 9/9:30am.

if any one that lives in RR or gtown wants to head out with us. ya'll can come to my house or we can meet some were along the way. just shoot me a Pm or reply to this mail and will get it set up.
 
For the HAMs in the group we will be on 146.55 and we can pick up the Kingsville VHF repeater around MM25 on Big Shell. See y'all down there. KF5UOS

good pics mike. yes we had a VERY good time. we hung out friday night and on Saturday morning we drove to the end of the beach and fished. that trout in the pic is 25.5" long. there was also a big gaff-top that we got and eat that night. we had had i nice camp fire Saturday night that we all hung around. i would say we had a good time.
thanks to all that went down with us.
 
it was a blast, this needs to happen more than just once a year.
