One of my o2 sensor connector (yellow connector in red box) managed to fall against the engine and melt. Can I just purchase the connector or will I need the entire wiring harness? Or am I up for a trip to the junk yard?

So it would appear that you got your connectors figured out, only to have one melt on you. For a new connector a junk yard would be your best bet. Or, you could cut the connectors out and hardwire them. Did you get the new exhaust system installed? Rising Sun meeting tomorrow night!

Yep. Driving home from work on I-25 when it happened. Blew my EFI fuse. That was good times. :censor:

Here's what it looks like now.

I actually took it to Scott yesterday to get the exhaust installed. Looks and sounds great but I can't truly test it until I can get the o2 sensors installed...

Are you going to the RisingSun meeting tomorrow?

Thanks for asking, Mike. The answer is my 1000th Mud post and yes, I'll be there!
There are a couple of good yards, although not Cruiser or even Toyota specific, on S Santa Fe between Oxford and Belleview. About a month ago there was an FJ80 from the last month of production that was pretty much intact including all of the 3FE good bits.
Hope Scott hooked you up right - I'm sure he did as the work at AA Performance always winds up looking good. No booger welds there.

Well then let me be the first to congratulate you on your 1000th post!!! :flipoff2:

That response is better than a trophy any day. Back at ya :flipoff2:

Can someone please tell me which O2 sensor connects to which exhaust pipe? I think the connector coming off the side of the engine (pictured above) would go to the front pipe (1,2,3) and the one over the transmission would go to the rear pipe (4,5,6), but I want to be certain before I splice the melted connector in.

Thanks.

Also, can someone please tell me exactly where the other connector should be? I've read that it's somewhere on top of the transmission but I can't locate it to save my life.

I was able to locate the sensor above the transmission (I actually had to take it back to the muffler shop and have them show me... :( ) and get the front sensor spliced in. After which it passed Denver emissions with flying colors. And no more CEL!!!

I know this is an old thread but its worth a shot. I have an 88 FJ62 and the previous owner deleted one of the O2 sensors (bank2). I am trying to find the electrical connector and I can't seem to locate it. Several posts have mentioned that it is above or laying on top of the transmission. What wire bundle does it come from? I have the wiring that comes from the harness on the back of the intake (Bank 1), I just can't seem to find the one that is suppose to got to Bank 2. Thanks!
