I own a 1970 FJ40 that I would like to try and remove the oxidation from the paint and see if I can get the paint to shine a bit more than it does now. The body is nowhere near perfect but it is the original paint and I just want to see if I can remove the oxidation. Any recommendations?

50/50 CLR and water. Spray one panel at a time. Scrub lightly with a blue scotch brite, rinse. You'll be mind blown. After the CLR you can hit it with whatever cleaner wax you want. I use Meguiar's Cleaner Wax in the burgundy bottle. It's cheap and does an amazing job. I have two Milwaukee buffers...a 3" and an 8" (6") those make quick work of polishing it up. But the 50/50 CLR and water will get you in the right direction. Yes, CLR like you buy at Home Depot. Calcium Lime and Rust.

Thank you for all the recommendations. Look forward to giving these a try. Will post results.
Has anyone used “Patina Sauce” on their patina - Sweet Patina - https://sweetpatina.com/.
