Hi,
I plan to re-locate to Mexico from Costa Rica and wonder if I should bring my BJ40 along with me...

...or

Should I sell the BJ40 because of lack of availablity of parts and service repair in Mexico?

Anyone with experience having a 40 series in Mexico?

Thanks,

Gringo1

If I moved to TimBuckTwo I'd still keep my 40. Git outa here!

40 series LandCruisers of all ages were used all over the world. Most places you are better off for parts availability for Cruisers than for h**ps, or so I've been told.

Hey, thanks for the comments. This is one good forum, and support here reinforces the idea to keep it.

a 40 would be at home in Mexico...I would definitely keep it.

Throughout the years, I make my way back to those tiny country towns in Jalisco, Mex.

Last year I found a 60 in one of them, and asked the owner about parts availability?
He said it wasn't really an issue with a big city like Guadalajara a few hrs away.

Congrats on the move  ...hope to do the same one day.

Yep seen one up in Aguas Calientas a couple of years back. I don't think you should have any problems. Stocking on a couple of parts before relocating would not hurt either.:)
