Nice Job!

Thanks. There is quite a bit more spray paint to get off of there but it looks so much better blue and white. Someday it will get a redo/respray but for now it is going to be a patina piggy.

G'day

After visiting a recent FJ40 meet here in Victoria, Australia (Old Cruisers Kicking Ass or O.C.K.A) I wanted to rebuild an old cruiser.
After a few weeks of searching I found this beauty for the price I wanted.

Here's my 1977 FJ55V
Straight off the Farm.

I'll be heading down the path of HZJ57 Springs as a suspension lift in a few weekends time.
Using Terrain Tamer Front Springs, and Factory MD Springs at the rear.
- OME FJ55 suspension

Few rust spots in the usual points.

So I had a 76 FJ40 forever and recently parted with it. I was going to give this pig the same treatment. 4" lift, shackle reversal and crossover steering. I built my 40 15 years ago and I'm assuming things have advanced.
Already have a quote from Alcan on the 4" lift. Planning on running 35's, wish I could fit them on the stock rims. Might have the stock rims widened to retain the hubcaps.
After a little digging the first things I will need for sure are a windshield, drivers floor and front seat bottom.

Any input on this path would be very welcomed and appreciated.

Oh yeah, I also picked up a RDB kit from Poser. probably install that when I do the lift.

Manual rear window? That was an 'option'? Wish mine had that.
