Not sure, I went onto Lexus's webpage and got one free for my LX450, I don't remember that was before or after I was official on their webpage (they still showed that VIN owned by someone else), but in anycase they happily sent me a free owners manual.

Maybe call a few dealerships and ask them about getting a free one, certainly not required for them to give you a free one, but since the owners manual shows you all the safety things of the vehicle, and what to do, there is some advantage of the company giving you one so you know how to operate the vehicle safely...atleast that's the angle I'd take trying to get a free one..

Try calling Toyota. I remember that my dad got one for his Tercel complimentary.
