Owl Expedition compressor mount instructions

Hey folks. So I bought an Owl compressor mount some time ago thinking better grab it now, who knows if it will be available when I need it. I knew I wanted to mount an ARB compressor for OBA, but didn’t have the compressor yet.

Now I have the compressor. And the mount. But the Owl website is down and I don’t have instructions, specifically where to move the resistors and such on my 2006 UZJ to secure the mount.

Anyone have a pdf saved down or have pictures of an install. And here’s what I am looking at on the fender.

It's been a minute since I installed but on my '03 I think the resistor sits on top. I'll take pix when I get home and post them up. Love this mod.

My son likes to remind me that I say “Go stare at it a little. You’ll figure it out.” I was focused on too forward in the fender. @leucadiacruiser you were correct, the resistor moves back and everything else stays in place.

Excellent. Looks great. Not sure where the line sits in the single ARB but if it’s close to the hood liner, consider insulating it.

That install looks awesome. Current situation is OBA for tire inflation only and with 33s, this will be adequate. The air chuck will be remote in the front bumper.

Finished it up today. I dismantled the harness and removed the turquoise and yellow wires that control the locker solenoids, cleaned up the power and ground leads and routed around the engine bay to a newly installed 40 amp breaker. The red wire that is attached to the pressure switch is all you really need to pass thru to the cabin if on board air is your sole objective.

I passed the red wire through the driver side footwell grommet, stole 12v switched power from the driver side rear window switch via a Scotch Lock connector, and dialed it all in with the diff lock switch to trip the relay. Pics. Always pics.

I'm envious of how clean your engine bay is. Not enough to clean my engine bay, but still envious.

Thanks to both of you. It’s easier to keep it clean once it is clean.

No locker yet. On board air was the goal so no more Viair with alligator clips. I really don’t see ever going beyond just a rear locker.
