+1 on checking and clearing the reservoir hose that extends down into the reservoir, and the hose connecting the reservoir cap to the radiator. Mine were clogged with gunk at one point and it was affecting the vacuum that draws coolant back into the system during cool down.
Another not nearly as likely culprit is to check your fan clutch for proper operation. Depending on your outside ambient (it is summer after all), if you are just sitting idling it and the fan is not pulling enough air through perhaps that could cause an overheat.
