I've searched through the forum and FSM but can't seem to find instructions on how to take the outside mirrors apart without breaking the mirrors. Anyone have a body repair manual or can tell me how to take one apart? Thanks as always!

It's been a few years, but IIRC just start removing the screws under the mirror assembly.

Once you have them removed, you should be able to figure it out.

You can remove the wire attachments pretty easily.

Unfortunately the screws underneath only remove the outer section from the bracket, doesn't get access to the connections or the mirrors underneath. Need to know how to remove the glass without breaking it. Thanks though.

I think that part is sold as an entire assembly for the 100. On other Toyota models, the glass is secured to the mirror actuator with clips. I don't know if the glass is clipped in or has adhesive on the 100.

May bad Scott. On the 80s, it looks like the mirror itself has two clips near the bottom edge that can be lifted up w/ a flat head screw driver. Then it can be moved up and over two clips near the top edge.

I know on my 100 I replaced the entire assembly per TXLX's point above.

Great find @bdac - posting it here for future reference in case others have a similar need.
