A friend has a ~1300 acre farm in the NC mountains. We have a campsite (roofed pavilion, fire pit, basic outdoor kitchen, tent sites) set up on a creek where we host camp outs with other families 1-2x a year and smaller groups (father+son campouts) use it a few more times a year. While there is power and well water on the farm, none close to this campsite.

The plan is to set up a small propane heated outdoor shower drawing from the creek. Think 3 sides with gravel or wood decking floor and some hooks. Super basic.
Any recommendations on shower heater setups or manufacturers? Flow rate for it to feel like a reasonable shower?

Hose them down with a Decker's horse washer! I kid! Paul Decker at Decker's Hot Showers is a good source!

I have the Joolca Outing set-up on my off-road camper. A friend got the Kick-Ass version (if Kick-Ass had been selling them when I bought, I likely would have gotten that instead as I really like the quality of their products). The biggest difference between them is the Kick-Ass seems to have just a little better temp control. the Joolca seems to be a bit warm for me at it's lowest setting. But you can run them without the heater on if the water source is warm enough for you. You just need a power source for the pump and some D-cell batteries for the igniter. Flow rate on both of these is very good. If you want cheaper, Camplux is another brand of the same type of on-demand water heater.

Checkout Deckers site, he has 2 water heaters , one for $130 & one for $250 , mount where you like, hook up the pane & a hose. When we dont have hose water we use a rv pump & battery pack, it provided 30 psi on demand & are inexpensive & portable. If your in a fixed location with water pressur & pane the $130 unit would do the job.

My sister had a Joolca that I tried out one time. The water temp is a function of the flow rate and the flame height. It worked great, but I wish there was an easier way to adjust it once you are in the shower tent. You either need another person to adjust it for you or place it close enough to the opening where you can reach out and turn one of the knobs. If you are using it without a shower tent it would be less of a problem. I only tried it once so perhaps I hadn't mastered it.

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I needed.

Looks like kickass is out of stock so probably getting a Decker shower

That is the only issue that I have with KickAss. They have trouble keeping up with demand in the US. And then you have to wait for them to ship stuff over from Australia. But their products and customer service are top notch.

My daughter had used this one for 4 years at a commercial capacity in her food trailer. It works great, even here in Alaska where the water sources can be very cold. My only issue is the pump that came with it is very basic. She added a marine grade 12v pump and small pressure tank, as most of her events she is operating off her water tank (not a pressurized water hook up).

Coleman Makes One too.

Using a Heat Exchanger Piped into your Cruisers Coolant System you can have nearly Endless Hot water but May get too Hot.

Cruiser Outfitters use to sell one - call them if Interested. I think it was Aussie Brand.

I'd take a look at the Kakadu outdoor shower, it might be a bit small for what you're thinking, but this is a great hot water shower.
I just picked one of these up and it's great! Very compact and easy to use. The battery is not as advertised though, I can get maybe 3 showers out of it before it has to be charged.
