One of the classes I teach has students using various woodworking tools in my shop, including a table saw. We've had this Powermatic since the early 70's, it's an awesome saw, but no safety:

Model 68, 5 HP motor running on 480V/3 phase. This thing will cut a 2F in half.

Finally had the budget and time to upgrade to a SawStop:

I'm not crazy about the electric hookup, but it was the best option without cutting into the floor. Been using this today, it's a very nice saw.

Putting the Powermatic on craigslist, not sure what it's worth though. Thoughts?

Careful with wet wood, it will cost you a blade and the drop mechanism occasionally.

Usually it will trip in the switch box and you reset it with the key on the side.

Great saws nonetheless.

nice tools, is that one with the auto brake on skin contact?
But yup, I can feel the lawyers salivating already looking at that conduit affair on the floor...

Seen those Powermatics go for good money, often over $1000, personally I would have kept it but understand your situation. Being 3 phase my hamper your home shop buyer but I'd start the game high with an OBO.

We have it on craigslist now, asking $1700. It really has seen very little use and has been well maintained. Proceeds go to a scholarship fund.

Most of the conduit is buried in the floor, it pops up at the last 6" or so then changes over to flex. It's not really a trip hazard.

That's a good starting price, I'm betting you'll have a few tire kickers offering $1200-1500 so you left room to haggle.
