After much research and effort by our crack web team, the new enhanced site is ready to be released! It's been completely revamped, allowing for much more flexibility and member input. Now when you want to invite buddies, simply tell them to join us at the new www.copperstatecruisers.org!:cheers:

Good it's working!:D The point is, this is where we hang, where the action is, trail planing, reports, etc., so the "home" of our group. This forum is dynamic, reflecting what is going on now and provides an archive of what happened in the past, with input from all party's that choose to post. I don't see the point of transferring information from here to a relatively static place when we have this forum?

The other advantage is the simplicity of directing new people here. Have you ever tried to invite someone to visit? First go to www.ih8mud.com, then find the forums, then find the clubhouse corner.... about that time you see that glassed over eye look. Several times I have had people reply later that there is nothing going on at our forum, they only looked for AZ when they got to the clubhouse corner and wound up at the abandoned AZ forum. Now it's much simpler, just invite them to join us at www.copperstatecruisers.org and they will arrive here, at the "home" of our group.

The old site is still there, we are working on a new clean, simplified version to catch any Google type searches and direct them here.

any chance we could set up a place here like a gallery where every one can down load there pics from runs? this would allow for every one to come on here and swap pics at will. i believe the rising sun fourm has this and its pretty nice thing to have
 
"longer term" the ih8mud.com forum may be able to support unique club forums, I've been pushing vBulletin to have some options for that...ie: one database for all the sites, yet TLCAforum.com and forum.ih8mud.com would have unique front ends...that could also be extended further so that individual clubs have their own front end, and opening the option up for galleries from there.

right now tho, it's not doable...it's on my 2007 list tho, likely late this year....depends a bit on how vBulletin forms their next major release.

the advantage? one login to operate thru multiple unique forums...and one db/package to manage (ie: one admin to mess/upgrade all of it, instead of each club trying to beg someone internally to keep them up to date...) I know I'm on vBulletin.com and .org daily to monitor changes in the software and see what issues others are having so I can better react if oddities occur here.
