So, I’m looking at the city racer distributor 19100-61180 that is advertised for 75-77 FJ40s, 81-89 non USA FJ60s, and so on....

I have a 1982 FJ43 non USA setup with City Racers 21100-61012 non USA carb installed.

Will the above distributor not work since it’s not listed? I guess I don’t know the subtle differences between a 1982 FJ43 2F non USA engine and an 1981-1989 non USA FJ60 2F engine. Perhaps the advance curves?

I believe what was original to my FJ43 is distributor 19100-61080 non USA also offered on city racer.

Either way, I’d like to install pertronix 91665a igniter II in one of the two distributors listed above.

Suggestions please.

I have a 1982 FJ43 non USA setup with City Racers 21100-61012 non USA carb installed. This IS a Vacuum Advance Carburetor needed for both the 61180 & 60180

the 61080 is a Small size Cap dist.

the 61180 is a Medium size cap Dist.

Perhaps the advance curves? it's my understanding there listed that way because some trucks are Vacuum Retard Carburetors ?

maybe some other folks can elaborate on this specific point other the USA spec. Vacuum Advance & Retard

city racer is currently sold out of the 61080

the 61180 & 61080 take different pertronix kits

the 61180 is a Technology upgrade & update over the 61080

also , i personally dont like the 61080 adjustable timing dial outside under the clear cap , my clients tend to turn it for no good reason or someone else who does not know what they are doing under a Land Cruiser Hood then i get a phone call as to why the engine is running Phunny

the the 61180 is tamper -free design :)

61180 has more room to mount the plug wires properly both on it and routed to the cylinder head

Suggestions please.

61180 prior to pertronix conversion
