Hoping to get some help from any members familiar with camping in Oregon.

My son and I are taking the long way driving from So CA to Seattle to visit family. We are looking to spend a few days traveling north via a route that goes thru Klammath Falls - Crater Lake - Bend - Mt Hood. I found a few dirt/gravel roads that seem interesting. Does it seem reasonable to drive & camp in 2 segments:
- Klammath to Bend
- Bend to Mt Hood

Can anyone suggest any sights that you would consider interesting and campgrounds that are somewhat quiet. Bonus points for fishing spots.

Any help is much appreciated!

Have you posted this to any of the Oregon club sites?

We just got back from driving the Oregon Coast (from Tillamook OR down to the California border) and while not the inland Oregon spots you are asking for thought I'd throw it out there with a big recommendation in case you were open to the coastal route up to Seattle. Amazing beach campsites and crab fishing along the way. Salmon fishing season starts up there in a month or two as well.

Actually, the plan is to drive north east of Cascades and return south along the coast.

Any info is appreciated!
