Well, I finally took that first step. I just got off the phone with the guys as Proffitt's Cruisers. I did my research all around and decided to go with their kit. I was going to order my Hi-Steer kit from 4x4 Labs, but when I was on the phone with Proffitt's Cruisers they told me they had one that used All-Pro's kit's arms and their own custom parts. Since I hadn't heard back from 4x4 Labs and it had been almost a week, I decided to just do some good old one stop shopping. I got the :SOA Kit for $400 + $200(core)
New Bushings $50
U-Bolt kit $96
Hi-Steer kit $299

Costs listed are estimates of what they stated, roughly correct then to add shipping to Geogia and $20 for the overseas telephone call haha. Granted I'll still need tires and wheels, drive shaft, shocks, etc.

Should be enough to get it started and then I'll go from there. They were extremely nice, even dropped someone else on the other line since I was calling from out of the country with a bad connection.

I though that one had to fab up their own track bar from scratch.... Who sells a kit?

they send a front already cut and turned, core is for the housing they send you.

Correct! I figure that the precision work and time to do it already being done made this a better kit. Once you get your core charge back your kit ends up the same as the Ruffstuff. I had to order U-Bolts seperately and bushings for my old leafs. I'll also have to order shocks. I think overall it's a better kit for my needs.

While I have you experts on board, could you tell me what else I should order. I figure while I am doing it I should do it correct. I want to order a set of Long Fields while I have the front axle torn apart. I need to get gears, but not sure where to order from or what brand. I was think 4:88s let me know. Also, lockers for front and rear, not sure what brand or where to order from either. I think that's all if you have any other ideas, then let me know. To date I have SOA kit form Proffitt's with their Hi-Steer kit, new bushings, U-bolts, and Add A Leaf longs. I'll do rear disk later. Thanks!!!!!!

all depends on your budget

1. Pretty much any brand gears will work, support your local/favorite cruiser shop or a vendor on mud
2.4.88 what size tire?
3.price and performance go hand n hand with lockers, lowside lock right/highside ARB

brake lines,drive shafts(double cardan),track bar...
