Hello. I'm new here, located in Florida. I am also new to the Toyota FJ40 family. Picked one up for $5k and I want to fix it up. I thought about something like an LS swap, or even pulling the engine & transmission out of my 1999 Toyota 4Runner 4 cylinder. However, the seller said it also has the factory optional PTO wench, and that at the time they were expensive so you don't see a lot of them these days. If that's the case, I want to keep the 6 cylinder setup and all the PTO stuff. What can anyone tell me about this (see photo below)? Are they rare? Do they work well? Is it worth keeping it? Also, can anyone tell me if the front bumper is factory that came with that optional PTO wench, or is it aftermarket or homemade? Thank you in advance for any input!

Does not look like an Toyota Land Cruiser OEM PTO that I have ever seen ( I have a couple myself currently and have sold several over the years).

Definitely not a Toyota PTO winch.

But that doesn't mean it isn't dealer installed. Our '68 got a Ramsey PTO winch, installed by the dealer. I kind of think it's cooler than my Toyota PTO winches, just because we've got the slip from the dealer showing that they installed the winch, and seatbelts when it was new.
