They are real easy to deal with and have good prices.

I have the miller 211 and it's a great machine. Just buy a nice mask.

Landing my deal on this machine... Stuck a deal in Kamloops BC for $1137. Since I live in Alberta I only wanted to pay one tax. He said the KMS Tools in Edm will honor the price. The ol' lady would love to go shopping in Edm mall soooo than I can go buy a welder. Fair deal in my mind and save a couple hundred. Gonna talk to the local Helmig guy first and see if he will price match.

Saw a Thermal Arc 211 3&1 machine for 1299 at KMS. I never Arc weld but looks like a very versatile machine. Opinions on that perhaps?

The 211 is money well spent! I've had mine for about a year now. Got the welder, spool gun, aluminum wire, 40 of argon, and some wire brushes for 1,500 out the door from Air Gas. Having the ability to weld aluminum is nice, I've actually used it a lot more than I thought I would. It's super simple and quick to change to and from the spool gun. I found the auto set works really good on 1/8'' or thinner material, and horizontal only, it does not work that good out of position. All around it's an awesome machine, welds 3/8'' really good, a friend of mine built a log splitter out of 1/2'' and welded all of it with a 211, you definitely won't be disappointed.
