Hey all, not sure if this is kosher on this forum but I wanted to get your opinions on this FJ since it is for sale on eBay and Hemmings. As well, I figured it's sort of like a PSA like I've seen on other classified forums. If it isn't kosher, Mods, please feel free to delete this thread.

Anyhow, does anyone here have thoughts about this cruiser (or the other two)? Dealer legit? Seems like all three are priced really well. Thanks.

It's a Canadian truck with an aluminum tub. The power steering appears to be after market as the reservoir is on the wrong side. The radio install is laughable. Obviously it's cut for the flares, and then there's the sunroof. But it is a fetching blue.

Yup decent looking. They should have just put a block off plate in instead of that sheety radio haha

How can you tell its Canadien and the tub is AL? I didn’t see that in the write-up. Also I just thought the flares were added. How can you tell the wells were cut? It didn’t look like it to my untrained eye. You have sharp eyes!

After you've owned a few hundred Land Cruisers you get pretty good at it. First of all the silver air vents in the back of the top were only found on Canadian models. Second, the instrument cluster is in kilometers.

The Aqualu aluminum tub features flat metal on the rear wheel tubs and floor. The stock sheet metal is stamped with a raised pattern.

The rear quarters may not be cut for the flares but typically they are. At a very minimum there's a nice row of holes in the sheet metal for the rivets.

It seems to be priced pretty fairly for what it is. If the truck required a new rear tub chances are the rust was widespread so have a look at all the floors up front and be on the lookout for bondo in the remaining steel panels.
