We're thinking about replacing our 2003 100 with a 2013 200. A friend of a friend offered us a 2013, white, tan interior, 68,500 miles, clean carfax, with a one-year/12k miles Toyota warranty, for $50278. Seems like a fair price but not a bargain. Any opinions? Thanks.

For 50,300, you could spend another 5 and get something with half (or less) miles. All maintenance and CPO as well. That is what I would/did do.

I was thinking same, about 5k to high with those miles.

If it's really clean, near perfect, I am thinking you might should try to negotiate that down a little, possibly offer 45k settle at 48k tops for it.

Low to mid $50s generally gets you a 3-5 year old 25-40,000 mile rig.

I guess it really depends where you guys are. Here in the northeast I bet that truck would be $50k+ easily.

Maybe you guys should agree to use KBB or some source instead of negotiating. Even though it is a friend of a friend it can get tense.

I would be carefull with KBB. Most prices there are to help the dealer. Stay with NADA cuz that's what the bank and the dealer used when they take vehicles in.

I paid $49k for a CPO 2013 with 49k miles back in January. Tan on tan. Another $1200 to turn the basic CPO into a 7/100k Toyota platinum CPO.

Okay, it's pretty clear from the collective wisdom here that this is not a particularly good deal. So I'll keep looking or try to talk them down...thanks all.
