Looking for some friendly opinions on Cruiser color. Will be starting on my build soon and just kicking around ideas on paint. Should I stick with the Root Beer Brown or go with a custom color. If I stick with the root beer brown, I can throw money at other things. Just kicking around the idea. :grinpimp:

Pictures of the day I went to look at her and then one when she got home and had a bath.

Keep it brown!!! Put the $ in something else . Just my 2¢ though

Rance i thought you of all people would have had enough of the color brown! Seriously unless you just hate the color i would stick with it. It makes a big difference in cost when changing colors. its more work to paint the door jams than the rest of the truck.

I like the root beer color but the OTHER BROWN COLOR makes me light headed. PLUS it was my first cruiser and it holds a spot in my heart :)

If it was a full frame off, that would be another story.

What kind of the build? I would do paint last. Once you make it perfect and shiny, it really hard to wheel....

I changed colors on my 86 runner, I new it would be a lot of work but had I known just how much I would have left it red. Depends how far you want to strip it down, and it takes a lot more paint. Just my opinion but I like the brown.

Guess I'll be the voice of dissent. Assuming you can spare the money, yes, I would paint it. At the very least I would get rid of the black stripe. The truck wouldn't look too bad in just brown, but the black stripe screws with the lines and makes the windows look disproportionately taller than everything below the beltline.

Think that I will stick with the Root Beer Brown and just freshen it up. That way I don't have to trim out the door jams and the like. Thanks guys and I will hopefully start a build thread as I get a little further along. Mud is the best site I have ever been on. Love It !!!!
