Open Door Warning Light Stays On

Hello Everyone,

I have a strange issue, my open door warning light in the dashboard stays on even though all doors are closed. It started with it flashing and making alarm noise. Now it stays on and does not allow me to lock the car using the wireless key - manual works, even with the open door light being on. I have checked all the doors lock indicators and are all in good working order.
Has anyone experience this?
Any help is appreciated

If u have a multimeter...maybe you could start with checking to see if the door contact is still in working order?

Have you put the key in the driver door and locked unlocked? Have you unplugged the positive cable of the battery for 10 minutes? Have you started the car with the key fob held very near/against the start button? Are the batteries in your key fob new?

I think you may have triggered the alarm inadvertently. Look in your owners manual for the alarm reset steps. They may be different by model . . .

It was the the tailgate lock system that was loose and caused the on / off connection issues.
