I have been keeping an eye on the "OF4WD" web site as of late trying to find info on different trails. They just poated a blurb about a Trail mapping project that they are starting this May on over 100 trails in Ontario!! It might be time to renew a membership with these guys. Check out there site, they have some interesting stuff on it.

Right on Wayne. I haven't yet, but plan to do so soon.

I joined as well, they have club and owner insurance coverage off road which is great. Just checked their maps and there seem to be some decent ones (4, 5) in the minden area.

hmm, i'm certain those 4's and 5's are in and around bobcaygeon/concession lake..? recently there was 4x4 even held there, camp NL, pics here:

mostly a jeep event, but it has it's share of nissans and yotas. wouldn't it be nice if we planned for it next year with probably the most cruisers in attendance? you guys are already half paid with your of4wd memerships, i've yet to join.

some guys on sontt are planning on heading back to those trails, i here there are some good ones. and then there's sudbury area wheelin. and btw, ardbeg, north trail, past the train tracks is apparently another potential s*** show run, longer than s.trail.

Oh - i think i see it - about 6.5 hours. i'd be into that - but I'd have to bring my cameraman.

yeah, do it louis! stephen/toshi38 came up with us to ardbeg in may and did the 7 hour journey from ottawa on his soa'd 40. the pics above is from bobcaygeon area, a little closer to you so to speak.

wow, you got a camera crew now?! nice!

make it the end of Oct and i should be able to make the drive ... fall/winter wheeling has to be the second best to muddy spring runs ...

I'll need to scout the trails here as quite a few of the ones we use around here are also snow mobile trails ect... I'm not sure what the situation is like at end of Oct yet as I didn't go wheeling then last year...

I'm out of town for a couple weeks but once I'm back I'll look into it.

The usual trails are pretty simple and I've been running them for years, the quinn trail (wayne, mike and romey we did that when you were here last), crag lake (40's and 7X series only), gorge, for newbies, lavant (should be good/ok late fall, not very challenging), carp trail (short run in and out not hard), upper dwyer hill rd (easy), there are a couple of others but not challenging. if you know of others let me know.

I'm trying to find other trails that are challenging, and we are meeting with a resort property owner who wants instruction on how to build an off road course on his property next week so we'll see what his property is like -- but looks good so far.
