All,

May's multi-club event is right around the corner (14-16th of May), and I'd like to get the ball rolling on it since STR is taking up a lot of my time. The last couple of times we've had a great turnout, and Upstate Cruisers Lowcountry Chapter will be there also. We will of course invite our brethren from MATLCA (i.e. David) to join us.
I think we had a "full" campsite last trip, and with a few extras, we might want to reserve 2 sites, or rethink how to have a good organized site, possibly leaving the rigs parked out of the site. Blasphemy you say! Those sleeping in the rigs of course could park in a section, those camping would enjoy more space. If the rangers wanted to be real strict, we technically can have 50 people in a site, but only 10 rigs...
With having more kids at the events, it's also safer than everyone coming and going inside the campsite.
One last thing I will make sure we implement, is a co-mingled campsite(s). We will not have an ONSC site, and an Upstate Site, and a MATLCA site. There is no brother/sisterhood in doing this, and if this occurs I will not plan these type of events in the future. There's no reason to invite other clubs, and then close a campsite. I don't think we'd do it on purpose, but it might get overlooked as people arrive. So keep it in the back of your mind.
And as always, since this would be the first trip of the year to Uwharrie for many, buy a season's pass. It's the easiest way to support the trails...

I will cross-post this on the other sites, but check this link for the official up to date information. I'd like to have attendance numbers for each of the clubs by 15APR2010.

Always glad to have you David!

Brian, not sure if you will check back here, but I just found out my son's Cub Scouts campout is that same weekend. So he trumps wheelin.

I would like to keep it tentative in case it rains in VB. Not that I'm praying for rain or anything.
Should I still sign up on your site, as tentative?

Thanks Again,
Dave

Not a problem, David. Sign up, and shoot me an email if you're going to be there and we should look out for you. You know the set-up, ONSC pays for the group campsites, so if you can't go no big thing.

Those that have registered, see you this weekend! PM me if you need directions to either the Group Camp B or to Eldorado Outpost.

Those that are camping Friday night, I'll see you guys then. Those that are meeting us at Eldorado Outpost on Saturday morning, be there at 9am sharp. You'll have time to meet everyone, gas up, grab some grub, your trail pass, and we'll head out.

We'll divide up into groups and hit the trails in the morning, try and meet up for lunch, and then change it up for the afternoon ride. We'll end the day with some dinner (fending for yourselves) at Group Camp B.

Discreet with the drinks at camp. And, the county is dry, so fill up on your way there.

See you there!
:steer:
Brian
