I have one from a fj62
i'm putting a 84 2f and 4speed in a 71 fj40. I am also looking for a crossmember to go under the transmission. is this what you guys have? will it work for what I'm doing also?
no the 1 piece crossmember goes/matches up with the 3F bellhousing
you would need a 3 piece crossmember setup to match up with the 84 bellhousing, or find an earlier 4 speed bellhousing and use the setup you currently have for the rear mounts.
FJ62 crossmember is for a automatic transmission not a manual transmission. Like @3_puppies mentioned you need to match the crossmember to the the bell housing. Most markets the changed to a 3F bellhousing started 11/84. US it was 4/85.
