I am offering up a free entry to the July Mountain Bike Oregon - MBO.

This is worth $275 and gets you 3 days of shuttled riding on the killer trails in Oakridge, demo bikes from great brands, all of your food, and free beer from 10 different regional microbreweries.

What do I want in return? You need to have a badass looking truck w/ a rear hitch that would promote my bike racks well. The FJC that I was planning on using as the second truck - alongside my FJ40 - had a wheeling conflict and had to back out.

You will not need to man the vendor tent; just ride and enjoy yourself. If you are interested and can seriously commit, please let me know ASAP.

Cheers,

.matthew

The trails around Oakridge are more than just "killer," they are beyond compare! I used to ride a little race called the Cascade Cream Puff there. All the pain of the ups were more than worth it for the downs. Fifteen miles of down hill world class single track!:grinpimp:

This would be worth a road trip just to ride it. If I were still riding I'd be there in an instant!

Yikes! If you call the Cascade Cream Puff a "little race," I don't think I can hang w/ you!

That's a great offer. Wish I lived in Oregon to take advantage of it. Let me know if you need some one to show off your racks in Austin :)

Funny Dave. I offered the same thing :D

Does this mean you are going to brave the heat and start riding with us?

Well, that's 2 dudes in one spot. Find 4 more and a local bike shop to make the order and I can get you a 20% off deal and free shipping. ....racks don't have to be the same.

....back on topic.

So far, I've only got a couple of offers from a dude w/ a Rubicon from a cycling forum.

Come on guys, there's got to be at least one bad*ss FJ40, FJ45, Pig, FJ60, FJ80, 100 series or FJ Cruiser in Oregon that rides a bike!?!??!

Matt-
Which dates are you referring to? My buddy and I have been planning a trip out west to moab but this sounds pretty tempting. :hhmm: It definitely be a haul from Austin in the cruiser as well as a beeyotch in gas $$ but what the heck, you only live life once right? :D

Wow Dixie, That'd be a trip. Then again, you could hit some killer riding and wheeling spots along the way. I bought my wifes '03 hundy in Denver last October and took the long way home - Fruita, Zion, Death Valley, Yosemite. It was a blast.

I'm attending both the July and August events for Kuat. I've got Mark Hawley of Metal Tech signed up for August at the moment, so I'm really looking for someone for July. If you think this could be serious, shoot me a pic of the rig you'd want to bring. It doesn't have to be perfect - my fj40 sure isn't - but it does need to look cool and present the product well.

I've started to get enough interest that I've created a contest on Kuat's facbook page and will let the fans pick who gets the free ticket.

Submit photos here: Kuat Racks Facebook Page

...and Dixie, if you and you're buddy are serious about driving up from Austin, please shoot me an email asap.

Kuat just sweetened the deal by announcing that the winner gets to keep the rack that is displayed on their vehicle!

A WRX is in the lead. At least that's better than a Heep.

Where's the Oregon/SW Washington Land Cruisers?

....and the winner is:

wait for it.
