we are getting ready to do a road trip and we were thinking if we could remove the seat directly behind the driver seat that would be ideal. when i just flop it forward and up it rubs against the driver seat and the sound is unnerving after the first few hundred miles! We want to use it to store suitcases. Has anyone taken out easy enough?

yes. 4 14mm bolts and a couple minutes. It's heavy, be careful. I can swap my bed platform out for my seat in under 10 minutes.

ya to add to what loud said, flip the seat up and pop off the plastic covers on the feet. you'll find the bolts under there. super easy.

Yep, I've done this numerous times on various road trips I've taken. The 2/3 seat is actually quite heavy though, but most of all it's cumbersome. The 1/3 seat isn't bad at all. Have a fun trip!

all of the above is true, but you can also just hang a blanket between the flipped up seat and front seat to eliminate the noise. however with the seat removed, you get a LOT of space which is nice.
