The winch was put on 5 months after the the lift was completed. the winch does not weigh much, " Smittybilt 12K " and i did not notice any difference once winch was installed, the shop set the lift and 2" and I don't recall or no the preload.

Truck looks great @Fishinsea. I might have missed it, but are you running spacers with your setup? Thanks in advance.

Man this looks great. Same color I have and I'm going for the same exact look. Great job.

So those are the 295/65s?

Any regrets with the tire? I think I want to try 295/70s...

When I had my stock wheels on, I had a 1.25 wheel spacers on it. But I have since bought new Method wheels and they are +25 offset so now I do not need wheel spacers.

Do eet. If you got 35s on your 4R, you already know what you're getting into. Get the offset close to optimal, and it may be even easier than you imagine.

Thanks for the details. I plan to use the OEM BBS wheels that came on my HE and they have a factory offset of 60mm. Do you recall the offset in your OEM 2018 wheels? I believe they are 56mm. With only 4mm difference I’m thinking I should stick with 1.25” spacers. The rest of my setup would be identical. BP51s and OME UCAs.

Lots run 1.25" spacers. For that tire size, 1" spacers will work much better for just about all considerations.

Thanks @TeCKis300. I assume the -1/4" allows for the wheels/tires to tuck in and keep closer spec. minus the fact I'm raising the truck about 1-1.5"?

Yes, several things

1) Clearance - will actually be better with a small spacer. Spacing the tire further out from its pivot point with larger spacers, will cause it to swing more (rather than pivot in place).
2) Suspension Geometry - Tire diameter effects scrub radius geometry. This effects handling feel, cornering traction, and stability. Too far off will cause the steering to pull and front tires to not steer towards exactly the same imaginary point in a turn, and they will actually scrub in a turn loosing some corning traction.
3) Durability - Less load on the wheel bearings and steering rack

Depending on your goals, some use spacers to their advantage for things like rock crawling. Pushing the tires further out to protect it from rocks. All a trade.

Will still want to watch the KDSS bar as each spacer may or may not help there depending on your specific tires either being just taller or wider at that critical point.

You need the spacer or total offset to be enough to clear the front left tire where it comes close to the KDSS.

Then as you increase the spacer or offset then the rear of the front tires swing into the front mud flap or even the body mount located near the front mud flap.

Some guys push the tire out too much and then have to cut and weld the front body mounts near the front mud flaps.

Hope that helps, the guys above say what they did in this area. Some re-shape or even remove the front mud flap, and some cut the body mounts.

Thanks again. I ended up ordering 1” BORA spacers. I think I’ll be right we’re you are. With stock wheels with a 60mm off set, the +1” is almost identical to your aftermarket wheels that have a +25mm offset to your original stock wheels. Did you have to modify/shape anything with your final setup?

On mine I heated up the front mud flap with a heat gun until it was soft.
Then I used a piece of fire wood to hold the front mud flap in place while it cooled down.
The after it cooled, I put a few screws in with body washers to pin the mud flap into it's new position.

Appreciate the help. This is a good tip.

Thanks for the feedback on this and for @Fishinsea getting the thread started. I've locked in on my configuration and will post pics to add to the thread as I'll be mirroring the same configuration. Install next two weeks.

Full setup will be:
  • BP51 Medium load with OME UCAs
  • 295/65/R18 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs
  • BORA 1" spacers

I did never try the 1" spacers but the 1.25” spacers worked out great

How long have you been running your setup with the Goodyears, 9-10 months? What's your "longer" term impression of the ride on the 295 Duratracs?

I used the 3/4" bora spacer and my tires are 285/70/18 which are 34".

A lot of the other LC200's are running this setup, I'm no pioneer on this. There ae some 34 vs 35 tires size threads on this.

Install done. Wanted to add to the thread for others who may look to go this route. Again, went with 295/65/18s duratracs as well. Only did 1” spacers (bora). The BP51 install included new OME UCAs. Little rubbing on front flaps but heating them up and molding did the trick. Very happy with ride. Took decibel reading. Both at 35 and 70 only 2-2.5 db higher, but nothing noticeable other than a vey little hum from the more aggressive tread.

Drive over to Budbuilt in next few weeks to get step sliders installed.

Looks GREAT. I ended up just removing the front mud flaps.
