This is, I'm guessing, an antique chainsaw that's at the Solon Dixon Forestry Center in south Alabama. Basic design hasn't changed much over the years. There was no indication of age or manufacturer.

As basic as it is, I bet it beat the heck out of using the thing with two handles next to it!
 
Research with my vintage collector friend continues but the consensus so far is:

The saw looks identical to a Sears AH47 with a Piston Powered Products engine (Tecumseh).
The rear handle does not exactly match that model of Sears.
