Ok what the hell is up with the metal surrounding our windows?

Take it in the woods, scratch the hell out of the entire truck and be done with it.

Come on up to Washington State, we'll customize your rig with some NW pin-striping. Most of the trails up here were cut around the 60's & 70s based on Jeep's 74" or 76" width, either way they are very narrow in spots.

If you wheel your truck, you will scratch it, dent it and break stuff. If you don't want any of the things I mentioned to happen, stay of the trail in the first place....simple. The business about "knowing" the trail is hog wash, it is impossible to predict where damage may occur unless you walk every inch of a trail before you wheel it. Might as well get an ATV, otherwise you will be walking a long way.

So, if you come to a spot on the trail that you are going to take some scratches or a rub, what do you do? Do you try to turn around and get off the trail? All I can say, is don't wheel in a group.

Or you can go in muddy areas and forests with areas that are wide enough to safely fit your new vehicle through? It seems like everyone here is trying to fit through Rubicon trails where tiny jeeps tread...

That's called wheelin' if you want to go muddin' maybe your on the wrong forum...IH8MUD... Just sayin'

I have done Rubicon and got less damage there than local trails where pinstriping is going to happen no matter how carefull you are. If you don't wheel your rig that's cool too, but if you're planning on wheelin' it you will get superficial damage at the least. It's just a fact of the hobby. And mud scratches paint just as much as foliage if you really do go muddin' so ...

So far I haven't gotten any PIN STRIPES from mud...only up in Florida "sanding" on a super-tight trail that I wasn't supposed to be on...

scratches dents and me

They make new ones every day (pretty much everything including FJ's and they're usually better), don't you have some dishes to wash?

I guess I was born with out the OCD gene, and with out scratches, wrinkles dents or bruises life would be pretty damn boring.... and usually its way more fun getting them than whining about them afterward.

The first time I rode in it I was a grumpy old a**hole in a shiny new FJ. I'm still the same except for a few more wrinkles and scratches, same as the FJ, oh except for the 10k of extra crap I put on it so it was easier to get where there's stuff to scratch and dent it.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.
