ok, its another "whats it worth" question (1 Viewer)

Ok here it is, I am talking to a person with a 1993 80 with LOCKERS. The beast has about 230k on it and its the typical soccer mom cruiser. The bad, its never been serviced and drips oil like mad! The good, this beast is only going to be used for trail rides and basically plowing through the snow, woods, you name it! They are asking 5500 bo, which I know is too much for something that is basically beat on. No leather (fine with that), has the lockers (never used due to its the wifes cruiser which she used to haul around flower arangments to weddings) and has the other typical stuff on it..ieower windows etc etc. What do you think it could possibly be worth? Remember, this thing is beat to hell as in the respect of no service, they just drove it on the road and it kept going and going. Thanks, Chans

Sounds like a good deal, you should buy it for around the 5K mark.

John(landpimp) hooked me up with a 94 with simular miles for that price, very happy. Actually it was well serviced.

Seems like most of the oil leaks I could find were mainly the engine rear seal and front convre seals. Puts a nice protective oily coating on the udercarriage.

If you pass I know a guy locally who wants one of those rigs.

Im sorry not to hijack this thread, but I myself also looking to buy 2nd 80's.So far im interested on this one: HDJ81 Right Hand Drive
Now im wondering whether that wont have problem to register in U.S
Also CDan - The parts should be the same heh?
