Oil for 1HD-T Engine?

I ve been given 25 litres of ChevronTexaco Ursa Super TDX 10w-40, would it be suitable for my VX80 [1HD-T Engine?] the manufactures claim upto 100,000km changes! I would not dream of leaving it that long!

You may be better off asking this in the intl forum since they are more used to the stinkies and most of us are running petrol.

I am not familiar with that oil, is the TDX something for diesels?

Seems like a low viscosity, in the regular cheapo stuff I run 20/50 in the summer and 15/40 in the winter.

It should be fine. It meets Mercedes 228.5 which is Mercedes current diesel spec. It also meets ACEA E4 which is a pretty rigourous spec.
