I am about to change the oil in my '77 2F for the first time since I've had it. Is there a valve or bolt to drain the upside filter or do I just unscrew it and clean up the mess?

What are the options to improve this? Remote housing or another application? Thanks

I am sorry to report, there is no valve. I have found that if you use a hammer and long punch to poke a hole in the filter to drain the oil out of the filter first it makes less of a mess.

There are relocation kits available if that is the avenue you decide to persue.
