Just got my test results from Finning for the 15/40 Amsoil Synth in the BJ74 with 11525kms on it. 7500kms was hard highway driving to and from ACT 2006. Spun the filter off and put a new one on after Whitehorse on the way up. For comparisons sake I have included the 5592kms on Esso XD 0-40 Synth results from earlier this year.

1st row is the 5592kms 2nd row is the 11,525kms

Anyone knows a company in Europe that makes UOA??? I'm changing the oil at 10k intervals...

thought i'd add this here to for kicks. this analysis is for our recently acuired jdm mitsu delica van. kleen oil system isntalled prior to a roady to the rockies, about 11K kms on the sample with regular 15/40 dino. now running on amsoil ame marine diesel 15w40 with a new oem and bypass filter. since this anyalysis looked good at 11K on dino, i might wait till 15K with the amsoil?? a fellow i know with a tdi jetta changes their bypass every 16K kms and the oil at 50-60Ks..at which point the oem filter is also changed.

hope it shows. plannin on the same system on the hdt.

not sure if i've done enough proper searches but i haven't found many threads on oil analysis and bypass systems, so i thought i'd tag along on this one. will post up isntall on the 80 eventually...
