I just finished welding the fenders up and for now they will bolt on. i might decide to build some when i find a bit more time. ill post some more pictures up tonight :D

You have a very nice project trailer there!

Keep up the good work and post your progress from time to time.

Do you have any specific plans for the trailer - roof top tent, etc. ?

I would hunt around the salvage yards and find an SUV or mini van (something with a heavy rear door) and use those gas struts. If they can hold that open, your trailer lid shouldnt have a problem!

I am going to make a removable RTT mount. The gas struts i can get the part number for you if you want. I just went to Autozone and grabbed a few sets and played with the mounting points to get it were i wanted. I originally was going to go with 16 Gauge on the roof but the struts needed help to lift it so i decided on the aluminum. I have had alot of fun building this trailer

I was not wild about the fender width so i got some new rubicon Moab wheels and im going to machine out the center to clear the hub.

I got the Rubi wheel to fit Ill mount a tire an see which i like best :D

Here is a look at the finished tailgate

I liked using deadbolts. I could not find any latches that I liked and I hate using padlocks.

Welcome to 'Mud!!! Love the Rubicon - sweet rig!

Where are you located?

I'm interested in the suspension set-up....where do you get the axle / spring set-up??
