Hey, I was trying to find out if any of you guys are out in Atlantic City. I got an invite from a guy who is a friend of a friend who works n NYC. These guys want to go on a trail out near Atlantic City. I did get a couple of pics of his jeep in the trail. Here is a link of this guy having some fun out there.

I thought that some of the NJ contigent might know where these trails are. I don't want to make the trip (from Washington,DC) if all this trail is going to be is a bunch of swamplands. It is a longshot that someone here might know this area.
On a secondary note, am I just asking for trouble if I go into mud pits like the picture above, interms of water damage? I have a 91 LC with OME's, and running 32's. Otherwise, stock.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Sony,
That link doesn't work, but it sounds like it could be the NJ Pine Barrons.

Hook up with the Gotham City Land Cruisers at www.gclcny.com - we go wheeling at to Paragon (www.paragonap.com ) and other places in the area. We also have several members from down your way. PAP (Paragon) is about 3 hrs north of you I think. Right up I-81. We also happen to have a bunch of 80 series members.

FYI, I've never wheeled the Pine Barrens, but have been told that the grit that gets everywhere makes it highly desirable to avoid it. If you can post a link to that pic or email it to me, I'll take a look and if I don't know I'll ask some other folks for ya.

Yeah, I tried posting it, but the files are bigger than the 90K limit. Let me try mailing that to you. I just went to the ParagonAp.com site that you posted. that looks pretty cool. The one thing that Atlantic City has is that it has golf courses. The plan was to do a weekend, and get in gambling, 2 rounds, and 4-5 hours of 4 wheelin. That is my kinda weekend. I just don't want to get stuck in some big mud puddle, and ruin the weekend.

SP. I'd avoid taking my 80 to this area. I used to do some MX and enduro riding there and it is not really setup for Cruisin' in the Cruisa. We used to drive our trucks several miles into the Pine Barrens near AC to park for the day and the trails are tight snady and muddy and not really that much fun as far as wheeling goes. If it were me I'd make it a weekedn of gambling, three rounds of golf, and if there's any $ left go to Paragon another week-end. Just my thoughts. Cheers

Definitely sounds like the Pines. About 25-30 miles north of AC. Mostly old fire roads.
Some near Warren Grove and the bombing range. Limited access but a few good mud pits with dirt mounds and hills. Nothing challenging, and if you dont know where youre going be prepared for brush and scratches.
Plus watch out for the "Pineys"!!!! :D
