Friend of mine is looking for a fjc, 4runner or land cruiser with the following rough specs:

No rust, around 100k or less, under 18k 4x4

If anyone knows of one, send it my way! Trying to find him a truck (his first Toyota 4x4) so he will join the club!

Spotted at Park Road Shopping Center in Charlotte. Seller is named Doug. Truck has been "restored", paint one year old, in great condition, per Doug. Asking price is $45k, less than he has in it so he claims, and he says he's had a lot of interest. Local truck. Wyoming plate was on the 40 he drove across country years ago.

Wow, good luck with that.

T4R site is a good one for 4runners for sale - pretty active.

Here is a 3rd Gen as an example:

2000 4Runner 119K mi, S/C, 5speed, Leather, Elocker, Built $14k - SW WI - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum

Would recommend jumping to a 4th Gen for V8 and more room especially if wanting to do more x-country vs tails. Not sure if he is wanting to Broverland it or try to keep up with you on the trails?

Not exactly sure what his intent is, but I'll forward that site to him! I'm hoping to get him out and camping with us, maybe wheeling the easy trails to start with.

Cool car. Why you no like?

I actually like the car. Tons of space. Incredible fuel economy and actually fast from 40 to triple digits. Just do not like driving sedans. I like to move slower on public roads. No speed limit discipline and this freight train moves out. ;<)

So how many speeding tix have you gotten while driving it??? :grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp:

none, very close thou. Builds speed quickly and you have no idea how fast you are going. Pulls like a freight train. 369 ft lbs of torque and only weights 3800 lbs. I wish the 100 pulled like this car at speed. ;<)

The guy in the brand spanking new RR was not happy rolling onto US1 as he tried to block the old benz in the merge lane. Bye bye... ;<)

I am experiencing the same thing with an LS3 swapped FJ62 I am putting some miles on. Just rolling gently into the throttle keeps you up with traffic with ease. All around town and on to the Interstate, never over 2500 RPM. Getting on it a little also works. If I hear "You are over the speed limit" one more time..........

She just knows speeding ticket$ cut into the discretionary spending - you know, like horse feed and such :D

ETA - I'd LOVE to drive that thing. More specifically, an LS swapped 80. I keep tossing it around, but every time I tow my boat, or Dozer, or .... that DMax reminds me how much I love her.

Don't do it Ramon, I had the opportunity to put eyes/ears/experience the LS3 swapped FJ62 Stan converted and it would surely be easy to be "converted", very easy...;)

Selling my 285/75R16 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains. Just bought them from a fellow mud member not too long ago. They are in great shape! I'd say 80% tread if not more. Asking $750.00 I can deliver to the Raleigh area, possibly!
