What do u guys recommend?

I just called the park and all the sites are already reserved.

They said unless I share a site with someone and pay the overflow fee I would not be able to camp inside the park.

I really want to make it to the event but with my two boys I don't think I want to deal with the logistics of driving in and out of the park every day to our campsite somewhere else.

Basically as stated before- all designated camping spots are spoken for; you can still throw a tent where ever you want.

The KOA if you want electrical and water for camper then you will like or a cabin.

But if your just throwing a tent up your fine at park.

I don't need power. Just a relatively flat area to park my little trailer.

For reference, this is my trailer and truck.

Would my trailer be a problem? According to the girl on the phone it is, but I am not sure she understood what I meant by off road trailer.

Nope your just fine- either in upper overflow area or area just past gate to trails.
For some reason lady on phone doesn't get the fact you can put tent anywhere and small trailer like that is pretty self sufficient.
See you there.

The place they are putting the overflow folks will be fine for that trailer. Come on...

Ok. Guys. See u there. Thanks for the info.

leaving Florida on Thursday at 1600.

We will be headed out sometime Thursday, not sure when, but hope to arrive in time for at least a portion of the shenanigans that evening. Got to change the t-case oil and finish packing. Looking forward to getting away from work for a few days.

I'm packed except for clothes. Hope the trailer works out. If so I can come home and leave all this stuff in it for the next adventure.

Gotta get the tailgate built. This works but the tailgate will help a lot

Truck is packed. One Stayner twin is in the air enroute to HOU. Kermit is on a trailer 20 hours from Hot Springs. Parts collection is complete (for now). Beer is bought, a lot of beer. RTT is set up. All I have left is retrieving the Stayner twin from the airport and hooking up the trailer.

In air now- headed from Detroit to Chicago; layover then Dallas late tonight.
Get up early and write a follow up report for today's meeting with Ford (went very well!)
Then.....
Start packing cloths/ tools and final stuff to leave Wednesday am!

New tires installed.....
