OEM vs. aftermarket winch?

I am trying to figure out if I should order the OEM Toyota winch for the 76 or go with an aftermarket. The OEM winch is fairly priced in Japan, about equal to a mid-level Warn (imported.) The Warn may be stronger than the Toyota winch and I'd like to go to a synthetic rope instead of steel cable.

Would there be any problem with the OEM winch and an aftermarket bar from ARB or TJM or other?

I assume one could replace the cable with synth rope on the Toyota winch but I've never seen it done. If anyone has any thoughts on this pro or con, would love guidance. Thank you in advance.

I did more research and thought about it a bunch. I decided to not order the factory Toyota winch. I am concerned about how most aftermarket winches are made in China these days, but there is not enough information about whether the Toyota winch would work with aftermarket bars and I won't be adding the winch or bars until later so I'll deal with that later.
