OEM steps OUT!

UPDATE:
When installing sliders, PLEASE remember to leave at least 1" clearance between the sliders & the body - I didnt, and when I go down a washboard road the sliders impact my body.
I may install a 1" body lift (not what I want to do!) for more clearance since the sliders are welded on and I cant figure out how to cut away more pinch weld for add'l clearance!

I e-bayed the OEM steps - I think they were about 80" or so long.
Helps cover the cost of the upgrade & un-clutters the garage too.

Hi-Lift tested today!

It amazed me that the sliders didn't even flex enough to touch the clearanced pinch welds!

I am TOTALLY satisified with the installation and quality of the Trail-Gear sliders!

The front wheel was off the ground about 1-2" and the rear just kept flexing and I didnt want the Hi-Lift to kick out and dent the door.
I am confident that the truck could be completely lifted with just the sliders!

Good job on the install.

Looks good. Now your going to have to go wheeling if for nothing else, an excuse to try them out. :)

Just an observation, your name have anything to do with Sig-sauer? :hhmm:

And I am looking to do some wheeling, hopefully with my brother, in the spring or summer 2009. Yes pics & results will be posted.
