The original ones took 90.000 miles, a lot of them in unpaved roads with no problem..They are awesome for street and mild off road. They don't take serious abuse very well. But they're friggin' cheap.

I´ve owned Toyota vehicles all my life, and this is the first time I have problems with spare parts.Just installed OEM today, removed what looked to be original OEM (244k)...sure hope quality is just as good, we shall see. First I have heard of any issues with them!
The dealership replaced 2 of them under warranty. When the third broke after only two weeks of installed, decided to swap to Ironman Foam Cell.
They are sending the broken ones to Japan, I am eager to know what they have to say about the problem.
Thanks, I will as soon as I get an answer. Please keep us updated with what you find. I wonder if perhaps they installed the wrong model/part. It should not break like that within 1 month.
Thanks for the tip, I think this is not the case. I will let you know what Toyota saysYes please keep up posted. Could have been a bad batch of shocks, or like you said labeled wrong.
Or maybe your front sway bar end links are broken and allowing to much down travel of the front suspension.
