OEM roof rack leaking?

I think I have a leaking roof rack, or somehting like that. The rear passenger side grab handle on the roof has signs of water leaking through on the head liner. Could it be the roof rack mounts.? Anyone had or heard of this problem?

possible I suppose, but also highly unlikely I would think.
Much more likely IMO would be that it's a problem with the sunroof such as plugged drains etc.

Sounds like what I had. Pull off the racks, clean up all the rust around the mounting bolts, and then paint up the roof. Silicone the holes and install the bolts while wet. Worked for me. FYI I finally replaced the OEM rack with a safari rack, and sealed up the holes completely. Also sealed the rear antenna plug.

Much more likely IMO would be that it's a problem with the sunroof such as plugged drains etc.

Ah, so the Supra's arent alone in this arena... (they leak too)

well, you could always pour some water in the drains or sunroof collection channel and see if it goes down the drains or not...
