Anyone have a lead on the OEM hood protector? It’s discontinued, but I’d really like to have one for long trips.

Thanks!!

Ive been looking for one i can order in the US for 5 years. No luck. I did find a place in Australia that sells them but they refused to ship to the US.

They’re available on eBay with shipping to US. Around $250 all in last time I looked. Will do nothing else other than protect against rock chips which is why I’m considering it.

Oh dang! I think you're right! Thanks for the link. $250 for a bug deflector--ouch!

I odered this very one the first of July as I was more confident in the OEM quality vs the OCAM aftermarket quality. Both can be ordered through eBay.

Pkg just arrived from UK via FedEx today. Box was mangled and wet inside, very little padding or tape (like foe a local delivery). Deflector however, is just fine inside (guess there was reason behind my skepticism).

Anyone have a lead on installation instructions? None in the box or packaging.

I installed one on my 2015 when they were still available in the US. Yours should have come with a set of screws and some paint protection film squares. wash and clean the leading edge of the hood, open the hood and line up the protector with the hood to identify the screws to remove/replace. Place a paint protection film square at each identified screw location. Screw on the deflector.

If you butcher the paint protection film application, there are a LOT of vendors that sell small strips of XPEL PPF you can use to replace whatever is included in the kit.
