i've got a couple wheels that look great but also a couple that have paint peeling in some of the "scooped" areas.
also in a couple spots there is some kind of "worm trail" on the flush machines surface.
i thought i would try to rich them up.
1. so does anyone have a technical description of what the 80 series wheels are made out of but mostly how they are painted? like the scooped areas look like the rough casting and the flush sort of area looks machined? did they do a base coat of paint in the scooped areas?
it really looks to me like the recessed areas are a different type of paint or have some kind of undercoat or something.
2. is there a rattle can paint i can use to touch them up and if so how do i do this? 2 i've got some paint peeling and someone suggested to sand with 80 grit. can i do this and hit it with some rattle can?
3. is there a good thread on here or elsewhere that shows how to prep these for paint but also shows different options for paint? not do concerned about colors more about different options.
THANKS
