The dealer just replaced my wheels, because they were out of round. He blames this on the OE Bridgestone 840 that was supplied with vehicle from the factory. What firmer tire is available, without being to aggressive? I was thinking of the Michelin LTX M/S. Any opinions?

There are a lot of fans of the Bridgestone REVO. Many 80 series owners really like them. Not very aggressive but more aggressive than the Michelin LTX.

While searching TSBs at work I came across one for the FJ cruiser about possible damage to the inner bead of the bridgestone dueler or Dunlop tires. Don't run off calling the dealers though, owners in the affected vin range will be notified. don't know if this applies to you but thought I would throw it out there.

The recall was only for certain VIN's that had the Dunlop Grantrek A20 tires. I got a notice, and had mine replaced. Not that I use them...;)

The recall was for both dunlop & bridgestone. My dealer got the ok from Toyota to give me 5 new Michelin LTX/MS even though mine wasn't involved with recall.

The Bridgestone was way too soft, and had a problem with vibration over 70mph. Hence, there is no way to put clip on weight on outside of aluminum 17" wheel, as there is no lip.
