Tranny flush tomorrow. Truck ran fine but I only had 1st and 2nd gear. Too much water in the trans. Keeping my fingers crossed that the tranny isn't shot, might need an A440 or maybe just go with H55:D. Had a blast!!!

We went past that pit a month ago, there was no water in it, not a drop, and it still looked sticky and scary!! Those are great vids of the stock 80 doing daniel. They really make me want to take the 100 up it next time! Still a little scary with my ifs LX, i think she can tear it up though.

For the ledge on RML in the video its more about picking a good line than tire and foot size :D
Its no less rutted, actually the hole at the top had been dug out a little more from some big meats.
Ramon, Allen, and I made it last month and um someone in a big gray 80 claimed to ;p


Key is to miss the first part of the rock face in the right bank and turn right just behind the cleavage in the rock hug it and stay right as possible. That way youll miss the hole and the back side and not get high centered. Got to turn a lil back left at the top to keep from ending up on the bank.

Oh and front locker doesnt hurt either though maybe doable without.

Did make it, but not all the way over to the right. even with the 38.5's and the 6 inches of lift there wasn't enough clearance for it, everyone I saw that saturday had to back down a bit and go a little more to the left. From the video angle it is tough to say the exact line you took.

Thanks for putting those videos up Al :cheers: Could you shoot me a pm on how you did that? That line J took on RML was about as far right as he could get when he said that was the line he was going to take I thought he was crazy but he did it no problem.

Right on !! Kudos to you for trying that, part of me wants to give it a shot everytime I see that. Good to see a few people still have the stones to give it try.
 
stephan, i'll hit it anyday of the week if you will clean out the mudd afterwards.

**Kevin, don't forget to clean out the slits under the rocker panels or else your sunroof will start draining inside.

There is plenty of clearance Clarence. Your first post was right, it is as far right as you can get.
Its either the locker or the line your taking cause I got a lot less tire and less lift than you and have made it a couple times now.

If you ever get new tires you should be able to make it since you got F/R arb's but I doubt those 31's are gonna cut it :)

LOL!! The cleaning part is the exact reason IH8MUD!!!!
 
Yes, I have much hate for mud right now and learned a lesson not to play in those holes with my DD. Cue parts truck. Picking this sweet baby up Saturday. 92 with 178k, "bad front diff and fuel pump is gone".

I am most excited about the leather interior and 3rd rows. Hopefully the carpet is good and I will just swap it over to the 91.

I know that truck he used to post up here, was supposed to buy a front diff off of me but then disappeared.

Isnt that a members place? the tractors seem awfully familiar.

Isnt (wansnt) your carpet grey? With that color combo I would have thought that one would be the dark brown. Either way lots of good parts for you and im sure the carpet is cleaner no matter what the color.
 
Dang, I think you are going to be right about the carpet but oh well.


I'm not going to completely part it out yet. I might want to use this to put a 6bt in. :D
